A thrilling round in the EFL Cup is scheduled for this week, as eight sides still have dreams of reaching the final at Wembley. Everton could be among the dark horse contenders in the competition this term, as they look to continue their solid recent run of form under Sean Dyche. The Toffees come into this match after recording four victories on the bounce in the Premier League.
Everton are yet to win the EFL Cup in their history, but they have reached the quarterfinal stage on two occasions in the last four seasons. However, they have already bettered their performances in the competition based on their recent efforts, having being eliminated in the third round in each of the last two campaigns.
