Event Preview

Oakmont Country Club will host the U.S. Open for the first time since 2016, and an exciting event is set. Scottie Scheffler dominates the betting, meaning that there could be a better betting angle for making wagers on the players to finish in the top ten. You can find our picks for the market here.

U.S. Open Top Ten Picks

Shane Lowry (+280)

Shane Lowry is playing like a player who is going to land a big win sooner or later this season. The 38-year-old has been consistent on the PGA Tour throughout this season, with the exception of his showing at the PGA Championship.

One of the biggest arguments in his favor is his experience at Oakmont, as he finished in a share of second on the previous occasion that the course hosted the U.S. Open.

Sepp Straka (+280)

Sepp Straka has already been a winner on the PGA Tour this season, and his confidence levels will be high after recently taking third at the Memorial Tournament. The Austrian’s game should be perfectly tailored to the questions posed by Oakmont.

The 32-year-old has also made the cut in ten of his 16 major appearances. A solid win angle in our eyes, but an even stronger fancy to finish in the top ten.

Viktor Hovland (+350)

Viktor Hovland could be going under the radar in the betting for the U.S. Open this year. The 27-year-old may not be winning consistently this season, but he is still performing at a high level.

He was last in action taking a share of 25th at the Memorial Tournament, and he won the Valspar Championship in March. He has made the cut in 17 of his 22 appearances at majors since 2019.
