U.S. Open Player to Make The Cut Picks

Hideki Matsuyama (-225)

Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama looks like an excellent chance to make the cut this weekend. The 33-year-old has an excellent strike-rate in majors, making the cut in 43 of his 49 appearances. Furthermore, he has only missed the final two rounds of action at the U.S. Open on one occasion from his 12 appearances.

Brooks Koepka (-163)

Brooks Koepka has endured a miserable time at the majors this season, failing to make the cut at both The Masters and PGA Championship. However, the U.S. Open is a tournament where he normally shines. The 35-year-old is a two-time winner at the major, and he has made the cut in all appearances since 2014.

Robert MacIntyre (-163)

Robert MacIntyre is one of the standout prices at the odds available to make the cut. The Scot has only failed to reach the final two rounds in three of his 17 major appearances, and he has qualified for the weekend in two of his three appearances at the U.S. Open. Despite failing to look like getting involved in both events, he finished respectively in a tie for 35th in 2021.

One Player to Not Make The Cut

Rory McIlroy (+250)

Many expected Rory McIlroy to go on a winning streak after finally getting the money off his back when winning The Masters earlier this year. However, the lack of pressure has seen his performance levels go in the opposite direction.

McIlroy snuck through following two poor rounds at the PGA Championship, but he made an early exit at the Canadian Open last weekend. He has missed the cut in five of his 16 appearances at the U.S. Open, including in 2016 when it was previously held at Oakmont.
